Heterotopia is "the third space" or "the other space" between "oikos" (=private houses) which is the hidden world of the household, and the agora (=political field) being the space of appearance. This third space is neither political (or public, or white) nor economical (or private, or black). It is a space of religion, arts, sports and leisure in the city. In ancient times it was used in the form of a theater, stadium, palaestra, gymnasium or academia.
Heterotopia creates a space where people come to "rest".
