I visit the flat. The first two rooms seem familiar to me; it is indeed our old flat in the rue de Quatrefages. Then we come to a curious area: it is a very strangely arranged kitchen. [...] Following the kitchen is a large bathroom with a trapezoidal bath. Then a corridor and at the end a wooden door, a bit worm-eaten. I discover, for the first time in my life, that my flat has two doors; I had a slight suspicion, but I receive (finally?) tangible confirmation.
