The TAZ is "utopian" in the sense that it imagines an intensification of everyday life, or - as the surrealists might have said - the permeation of life by the miraculous. But it cannot be "utopian" in the immediate meaning of the word, nowhere, a non-place. The TAZ is somewhere.
