Etymology and definition of noise (n.):
In 14th century noise was defined as a sound of any kind from any source, especially a loud and disagreeeble sound which is also unwanted and unpleasant.
In the same time it was also defined as a disturbance seen in reports, rumors or scandals.
Noise is a change in a signal, especially one produced by electronic equipment.
Differently it was used to define unnecessary information or activity.
