CODE (n.):

1. a system of words, letters, or signs used to represent a message in secret form

2. a system of numbers, letters, or signals used to represent something in a shorter or more convenient form

A code works with contrasts. It creates a rythm and thus exerts control.

“There is no such thing as an empty space or an empty time. There is always something to see, something to hear. In fact, try as we may to make a silence, we cannot.”

Rhythms are composed, mingled and sometimes opposed: they intersect, overlap, dissociate and conflict.

Every place imprints its rhythm and, in return, rhythms imprint space. Space is a perpetual rhythm.
