Theophany (n.)

From the Greek theos "god" and phanein "bring to light, cause to appear, show".

A theophany is the appearance or manifestation of the divine in the physical taking a sensible form. When a theophany happens, the invisible force(s) governing the physical realm become reified. It induces a change of perception between the first encounter and the moment of disappearing.

[I]n all things, there are lines of articulation segmentarity, strata and territories; but also lines of flight, movement deterritorialization and destratification. Comparative rates of flow on these lines produce phenomena of relative slowness and viscosity, or, on contrary, of acceleration and rupture. All this, lines and measurable speeds, constitutes an assemblage.

APEIRON is a parodic embodiment of the visible and invisible networks holding the postmodern world together. A fluid infrastructural squelette transforms the world as a membrane, flowing, twisting and bending under the tension of its ecstasy - producing divergent viscosities with moments of acceleration and deceleration. Intersecting at vertices, it transforms the world's geography - only experienced, never entirely comprehended.

Si les vents, les courants, les glaciers ou les volcans... portent des messages fins si difficiles à lire que nous mîmes tant de temps à les déchiffrer, ne faudrait-il pas les dire intelligents? Qui pourrait se flatter de parler une langue aussi précise, raffinée, exquisément codée?
